As an alternative option, instead of switching storage, you can manually import the missing root certificate into The Bat! storage and add it to trusted list.

The "Unknown CA certificate" error is usually related to the absence of the required root certificate in The Bat! store when using a secure connection. You can fix this by switching to Windows certificate store.

  1. In the main window The Bat!, click "Properties" and select "S/MIME and TLS":
  2. Set the switch next to "Microsoft CryptoAPI" and click "OK":
  3. Restart The Bat! and check for the issue.
