Using IP

Attention!

The domain must be serviced on our NS. If the domain is serviced on third-party NS, actions need to be performed not with us, but in the panel of their owner.
  1. Log in to the Wix service and copy the IP addresses and CNAME from the instructions on their site. ⚠️ The data is displayed only after logging in.
  2. Open the domain settings and delete records of type A, AAAA, CNAME, and ALIAS:
    • When connecting the main domain — for the main domain and the www subdomain (subdomains of the type example.com and www.example.com).
    • When connecting a subdomain — for the subdomain and its www variant (subdomains like sub.example.com and www.sub.example.com).
  3. Add two DNS records with the following data:
    • First record:
      • "Subdomain":
        • When connecting the main domain — leave the field empty.
        • When connecting a subdomain — the name of the subdomain without the main domain (for example, sub).
      • "Type" — "A".
      • "Data" — IP address from the instructions on Wix.
    • Second record:
      • "Subdomain":
        • When connecting the main domain — www.
        • When connecting a subdomain — the name of the subdomain without the main domain with www (for example, www.sub).
      • "Type" — "CNAME".
      • "Data" — CNAME address from the instructions on Wix.
  4. Wait for the DNS cache update. This usually takes several hours (a maximum of 24).

Using NS

Attention!

  • To connect the main domain, the domain must be serviced by us as the registrar.
  • To connect a subdomain, the domain must be serviced on our NS. If the domain is serviced on third-party NS, actions need to be performed not with us, but in the panel of their owner.
  1. Log in to the Wix service and copy the NS addresses from the instructions on their site. ⚠️ The data is displayed only after logging in.
  2. Set the NS:
    • When connecting the primary domain — set the NS from the Wix instructions.
    • When connecting a subdomain — add two DNS records with the following data:
      • "Subdomain" — the name of the subdomain without the main domain (for example, sub).
      • "Type" — "NS".
      • "Data" — when adding the first record, specify the first NS from the instructions for Wix, and when adding the second record, specify the second NS.
  3. Wait for the DNS cache update. This usually takes several hours (a maximum of 24).
